"Submit to God, resist the devil, and the devil will flee," James 4:7. Why does this work?
When we submit to God wholeheartedly, we humbly realize His Holy Spirit needs to do the work, hence our light yoke. We have no worries because obviously God can handle anything and everything. Our faith can be huge. Also, the devil sees obedience and faith; then he gets scared that we do not fall for his temptations and lies.
What else do you think about this? Please let me know. Oh, also, by doing this we can be unblinded and see the good works God has for us to do and have fun and joy doing them; that scares the devil. =)
A sidenote - I ask the Holy Spirit's help to keep this right attitude. I love you in Jesus. =)

A friend emailed and said," I think the devil flees because he has no avenue to operate in our lives. When we stay in forgiveness and follow the guidelines in Philippians 4 we allow the peace of God to be in us and with us through Christ Jesus." I agree...
